The COE has so far achieved the following:

Second meeting of CoE:
The second meeting of CoE was organized from April 26 to 29, 2009. For details, please see CoE events held
CoE was represented at the Biennial international conference of the Sri Lankan Evaluation Association (SLEvA). CoE made a panel presentation on “Role of Networks in Capacity Building on evaluation”. CoE was represented by Khilesh Chaturvedi, facilitator of the CoE, Dr. Rashmi Agrawal, Steering Committee members of the CoE, and by its three members, namely Khairul Islam from Bangladesh, Ramesh Tuladhar from Nepal and Asela Kalugampitiya from Sri Lanka.
Khilesh Chaturvedi, facilitator of the CoE, participated in a Round Table to discuss the State of Evaluation in Afghanistan. The round table was organized by International Development Research Centre at Colombo on April 26th, 2009.
Future Actions:

Develop and disseminate Policy guidelines and Ethics of Evaluation – this is currently in progress

Develop papers and articles on the theory and practice of Evaluation – two such papers currently being written are on “Making Evaluation Use Focused” and “Evaluation Context in South Asia”.

Capacity Building on Evaluation – conduct experience sharing and thematic seminars and trainings in the next two years

Review and analysis of Evaluation methodologies (Outcome Mapping, Most Significant Change, Log Frame Analysis, Participatory Evaluation, Impact Assessment etc)

Advocacy and networking on issues related to Evaluation
-
Organisation of Bi-annual seminars for members on theme of Evaluation. The next seminar of COE will be from April 27 to 29, 2009 in Colombo and all the members, including the new ones that are selected, will be invited to attend the seminar
